random word of the day: GET A ROOM! – nie przy ludziach (stop kissing
and cuddling in public, go somewhere
more private)
(1) Get
a room you two love birds! We're trying to watch the game here.
(2) Dude, Ben and
Misty are all over each other. They
should get a room.
(3) "Get a room, you two! You're
not the only people in here!" Thalia chuckled
and winked at me. I blushed red as a tomato and quickly let go of Percy.
(4) "Oh for God's
sake, get a room you two! You're making
us all sick with your displays of affection," Sam announced as she teasingly stuck her finger down her throat mimicking the need to vomit.
to cuddle –
przytulać się (to put your arms around someone and hold them in a loving way)
to be all
over each other – praktycznie leżeć jeden na drugim (to kiss or cuddle in an overly passionate way)
to chuckle –
chichotać (to laugh quietly)
to wink at –
puścić oko (to close one eye for a short time)
to blush –
czerwienić się (to turn red out of embarrassment)
to let go of
someone – przestać obejmować, przestać trzymać za rękę (stop any form of
physical contact)
You’re making
us all sick. – Niedobrze nam się robi, jak patrzymy na ….
teasingly –
żartobliwie, figlarnie (playfully)
to stick one’s
finger down one’s throat – włożyć sobie palec do gardła
to vomit –
wymiotować (to throw up)
PDA – publiczne
okazywanie sobie uczuć
to handle –
znieść (to deal with)
to put
someone in their place – pokazać komuś, gdzie jest jego miejsce (to let someone know that they are not as important as
they think they are)
Hi guys!
There are times when PDA, or Public
Display of Affection, is just too much too handle. It’s ok to put
the love birds in their place and tell
them to get a room :D
As long as we hear it more often than we have to say it ;)
Hope you enjoyed today’s randomness.
Karola
